Worst Piece
This is my worst essay because I got a 4 on it. I didn't understand how to organize my essays or find appropriate evidence and make it less lengthy. If I could go back and redo this essay, I would focus on elaborating more on the evidence I brought in and to make it a more cohesive essay in general. |
Piece That Shows Growth
This essay best shows my progress because I began to understand what teachers (and those who would grade my AP exam) would expect from me. I understood how to become more organized with my thoughts and how to integrate evidence more efficiently. My writing in general became more elevated and I started to continuously get 7's on my essays, and this is the first one I got. |
Proudest Piece
This is my proudest piece because I got an 8 on it! I'm proud of this essay because my hugest trouble with free responses is coming up with specific examples, and I was able to do that in this essay. While I only briefly brought up the Great Depression, I was proud of myself for even coming up with a reference at all and not just vaguely alluding to something. I did well with coming up with concrete and effective arguments that made my position clear to any readers. However, if I could do this essay over, I would focus more on the economic impact that would be made by a "buy nothing" day and improve what I already wrote because I would then make my strongest point resonate more. |
